    Thanks so much for your continues work and supporting us all! I really enjoyed the video and learned a ton. Question #4 confused me a bit. The question already stated that she wanted to Boost her self confidence at work aka "what she hopes to attain from this behavioral change" and the planning stage to me sounds more like the pre action phase aka collaboratively and respecting clients determination will look into classes (planning phase which in it of itself boost confidence by demonstrating to the client how to seek out resources they need in life) that can help build your self-esteem at work... would love to hear your thoughts for more clarity..again, thanks sooo much!

    For the first Q. I don’t agree w the answer ( is judgmental in my opinion)but I understand that it needs to be answered this way for the exam. More thorough assessment needs to be conducted to come up with that conclusion.

    Hello! Thank you! When a social worker was meeting with a client who was having problems with her co-workers and wanting to be more assertive; I thought the answer you gave of D would have been something we ask in the treatment phase and C would have been something I may have gathered on my initial assessment?

    “Nope!! We don’t do that up in here. That’s what the other people teach. I don’t teach that first” This stood out to me because for a long time, I was always going with the Acronym and going with answers that focused on acknowledging feelings as my first choice. It would work with their practice questions, but would hit a wall with others. It’s not until NOW is see the light on knowing how to breakdown and answer these questions properly and not with one method that is sometimes flawed which is going straight to Acronyms!! Great Stuff Savvy 💪🏾

  • @Taylorcmay_

    Q8 doesn't make the most sense to me. I understand answering the question how the exam wants us to. I understand why the answer is the answer. Focusing on the here and now and on the client's presenting problem at hand and why they wanted to seek treatment. Sure. I would definitely have concerns about the possible safety of the children given the history of abuse as to not perpetuate the cycle of abuse for the same reason why the client started services in the first place. While we would address what the client came in for, is making a mandated report not also warranted? Hoping the point of this exam is to truly assess the SWs judgment in doing the right thing and not just being able to pass the exam the textbook way, because the textbook says its right. My concern with this question in general is, are we truly assessing for SW's ability to do the right thing or to just pass an exam?

  • @michaelmut3398

    This was confusing since the therapist is working in an agency that works with adult sex offenders. If the client is working with clients, the question is not about one client but clients in general. I believe the social worker is the target person in this case. Help me understand why we would refer all the clients. thank you

    • @user-gq2yh5bj3z
      @user-gq2yh5bj3z Місяць тому

      I was confused on this as well. The SW is at a clinic that exclusively sees sex offenders. Transferring the client won't resolve the issue- since presumably she has more than one. Asking herself if this setting is right her and (presumably) leaving seems like the logical next sequence of events.

    • @user-gq2yh5bj3z
      @user-gq2yh5bj3z Місяць тому

      The only way C would make sense is if clients and client was a typo- and the vignette met client. That would make it an ethical consideration in which the person must not be practicing without competency. In that case, yes, the next step is to transfer the client so he/ she is not harmed.

    I don’t understand why we shouldn’t focus on his childhood experiences because it stated that his use doesn’t affect his academic performance in the priority problem but the presenting problem states that his academic is declining??
